Marty Pickett is chair of Canary Media’s board of directors. 

Pickett is also managing director and general counsel of RMI, and cochair-elect of RMI’s board of trustees. She focuses on RMI’s advancement in alliances, funding, and governance as well as general strategy and legal counsel. She holds a master’s degree in community development and planning from the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Colorado, Denver, and a law degree with an emphasis in environmental law from the University of Denver. Prior to joining RMI in 1998, Pickett practiced law in Denver and Aspen, Colorado, with a focus on real estate and land use. 

She serves on the advisory board of the Center for the Environment at Catawba College in North Carolina and the board and executive committee of the Clean Energy Buyers Association, a 501(c)(6) business trade group. She also chairs the board of the Clean Energy Buyers Institute, a 501(c)(3) organization.
