Build Back Better Act would reduce the burden of household energy costs
The big budget bill being debated by Congress would help tackle climate change and also make clean electricity more affordable for strapped households.
Maria Castillo is an associate with the Carbon-Free Electricity program at RMI. She is a graduate of Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science where she received a bachelor’s degree in Earth and Environmental Engineering. While at Columbia, she was a research assistant at the Center on Global Energy Policy’s Power Sector and Renewables Initiative, where she performed data analysis on fossil-powered generation.
