Lisa Hymas is executive editor at Canary Media. She was a founding editor at Grist and directed the climate and energy program at Media Matters for America. She’s also worked at Greenwire, Island Press and GRID-Arendal. Her work has been published in The New York Times, The Guardian, Mother Jones, Slate, Salon and other outlets. She divides her time between Seattle and the rest of the world.
